The other day Xiaomi, celebrating its 10th anniversary, presented in China its first smartphones with an Ultra prefix - the top Mi 10 Ultra with 120W charging and the best camera on the market (according to DxOMark) and a top-of-the-money model Redmi K30 Ultra with an impressive performance / price ratio. Now it is reported that Xiaomi has no plans to release global versions of these models. That is, they will not go outside of China. The source was told by a Xiaomi representative.
Update: Xiaomi Senior Product Marketing Manager Daniel D clarified on his social media page that the company does not yet have a release schedule for the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra, Redmi K30 Ultra in other countries, advising him to keep a close eye on updates.
The possibility of releasing these models under another brand, for example, Poco, was also ruled out. The reasons for this decision are not reported, but it can be assumed that the matter is in the price. In China, the price of Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra starts at $ 763, and the top-end configuration costs $ 1007. At the same time, the starting price of the Redmi K30 Ultra is $ 287.
The previous flagship model Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro at the start cost $ 715  for the basic version in China, while the price for the European market was much higher - as much as € 1000. If you add about the same amount to the price of Mi 10 Ultra and Redmi K30 Ultra, then they immediately become not so interesting against the background of competitors' proposals.
At the same time, new details regarding the Mi 10 Ultra appeared on the network. The supplier of screens for this model is TCL (its division of China Star Optoelectronics Technology), while the previous flagships of the company used screens made by Samsung. Recall that the Mi 10 Ultra uses a curved AMOLED screen with a diagonal of 6.67 inches with a resolution of 2340x1080 pixels with an image refresh rate of 120 Hz, 10-bit color depth, and support for high dynamic range HDR10 +.
Another interesting detail concerns the Mi 10 Ultra camera - the main module uses a 1 / 1.32 "Quad-Bayer sensor with a resolution of 48 MP + an eight-element lens ƒ / 1.85 (25 mm EGF) with PDAF and OIS. According to the Ice Universe insider, this unusual sensor, which stands out with large pixels (1.2 microns), is the OmniVision OV48C model.
